چکیده
This study aimed at evaluating the effect of blended binders on stabilization clayey soils intended for use as road and pavement materials in selected regions Sweden. The potential containing five stabilizers (cement, bio fly ash, energy slag lime) was investigated using laboratory tests statistical analysis. Soil samples were compacted Swedish Standards UCS. specimens stabilized with mixtures various ratios binders. effects changed ratio soil strength analyzed velocities seismic P-waves penetrating tested day 14 experiment. difference surface response indicated variations evaluated specimens. We combination to improve soil. mix slag/lime or slag/cement accelerated hardening process gave durable product. noted that pure lime (burnt quenched) is best suited fine-grained clay minerals. Slag used this had a very finely ground structure hydraulic properties (hardens under water) without activation. Therefore, has too slow curing it be practical real projects roads. performance demonstrated by consisted lime/fly ash/cement which considerably improved geotechnical workability increased its strength. conclude bearing capacities construction can significantly mixed binders, compared (cement).

Evaluation of Geotechnical Properties of Local Clayey Soil Blended with Waste Materials
Nowadays, disposal of waste materials has become a matter of serious concern due to environmental and ecological issues. In this paper, an attempt is made to determine an optimum proportion mix suitable for geotechnical applications by blending the locally available clayey soil with sand, fly ash, tile waste and jute fibers. This optimum mix provides a cheaper construction material and helps in...
متن کاملEstimating of geotechnical properties of clay soil with dynamic cone penetration (DCP) test
Dynamic cone penetration (DCP) test is used more in pavement design and construction, and less for subsurface geotechnical investigation and clay core dam. In the present article, evaluating geotechnical parameters of Sanandaj’s clay in the western region of Iran using the DCP test was taken into account. Accordingly, 6 trial pits with maximum depths of 15 m were excavated manually in various s...
متن کاملEffect of Stone Dust On Some Geotechnical properties Of Soil
Stone dust is a kind of solid waste material that is generated from stone crushing industry which is abundantly available. It is estimated that each crusher unit produce 15%-20% stone dust. Disposal of such wastes poses lots of geoenvironmental problems such as landfill disposal problems, health and environmental hazards. The best way to eliminate these problems is to make use such waste. Keepi...
متن کاملMechanical Properties of Low Plasticity Clay Soil Stabilized with Iron Ore Mine Tailing and Portland Cement
Due to economical and environmental issues, utilization of mineral wastes, e.g. iron ore mine tailing (IOMT), as road materials can be recommended as a sustainable alternative. In the present study, mechanical properties, as well as resistance to freezing and thawing cycles (F-T) of low plasticity clay soil stabilized with different percentages of Portland cement (0, 6, 9, 12 and 15%) and diffe...
متن کاملEffects of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer on Geotechnical Properties of Clayey Soil
Soil reinforcement can be considered as the combination of two parts. One part is soil for compressive stress capacity and another part is some material such as geosynthetics such as steel belts and fibers for tensile stress capacity. Soil improvement is one of the useful methods to increase the strength parameters of the soil. The main goal of this study is to evaluate the effects of GFRP on t...
